LACVB President’s Message

The Louisiana Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus are committed to its purpose of raising the level of professionalism in the convention and visitor industry through an ongoing educational effort. As the President of this fine organization, I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve my peers during 2009. LACVB will be having quarterly meetings to educate and network within the membership and keep abreast of tourism activity within the Louisiana Office of Tourism and across the tourism spectrum. We will continue to offer the membership marketing opportunities to partner with other members at trade shows, consumer shows, and public relations events. LACVB will be a significant driver to position the convention and visitor industry as an important economic generator in member communities. For Louisiana CVB’s that are currently not members of LACVB, I urge you to contact our executive director and join today; we are able to exert our collective influence on matters of local and state tourism initiatives. For vendors and suppliers, we offer several opportunities to market and interact with all of the members of LACVB, contact our executive director for a full range of options. Please know that our organization stands ready, willing and able to assist in any effort to make Louisiana the number one destination of travelers.
