LACVB President’s Message

The Louisiana Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus is committed to its purpose of strengthening the level of professionalism in the convention and visitor industry through an ongoing education effort. It is with a great deal of enthusiasm that I look forward to serving the LACVB membership this year as President. Our goal in LACVB is for its membership to grow in numbers, but most important, for the members to strengthen as individual CVBs through networking and learning from others within the industry. It is to help each member position themselves to be as strong an economic factor as possible in each of their communities. We will continue to offer the membership marketing opportunities to partner with other members at trade shows, consumer shows, and public relation events. For vendors and suppliers, we offer associate memberships that allow opportunities to market and interact with members of LACVB.

I feel the state is positioned with strong leadership through the Louisiana Office of Tourism to help us experience a successful year of continued growth in our industry. May we each commit ourselves to using all of the resources available to us to make this our most productive year ever thus moving our communities and Louisiana in position to be the number one destination to visitors.
