LACVB President’s Message

Dear Friends & Colleagues:
It is an honor to serve as President of LACVB for 2007. The members of the Louisiana Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus are all dedicated individuals who promote the state of Louisiana and the Tourism Industry everyday. The talent and expertise of the membership and the Board of Directors rivals professional organizations everywhere. It is their service to the industry that has made LACVB was it is today. Tourism organizations join and participate in LACVB for many reasons. Our goal is to raise the level of professionalism in the convention and visitor industry by sharing ideas and exchanging information that is pertinent to the industry. As a unified organization we collectively influence matters that may impact the state, national or international convention and visitor industry. We work together to position the industry as an important economic generator in our communities. LACVB provides special marketing opportunities to promote communities as convention and tourism destinations. I want to invite Tourist Commissions, Visitor Bureaus and all our tourism related partners to join us. There is strength in numbers and by working together we will promote, protect and nurture our industry to become the number one economic engine in the state of Louisiana.
